How to grow African violets in spring

How to grow African violets in spring

1. Sufficient water

In spring, it grows faster and therefore requires more water. Try to keep the soil slightly moist, and water it promptly when it dries out. Pay attention to the watering time. It is best to water in the morning in spring. In addition, you can water the plants heavily once a month to dilute the salt in the soil and promote the growth of the plants. However, the pot should not be too wet, otherwise it will breed some bacteria.

2. Suitable temperature

In spring, we must also ensure suitable temperatures, which are different during the day and at night. It is best to control the temperature between 22 and 24 degrees during the day and around 18 degrees at night. When the temperature is too high or too low, it needs to be adjusted appropriately.

3. Suitable light

Provide it with appropriate light and it will grow well, but the light should not be too strong. You can place it next to an east-facing window and slightly block the light if the light is too strong. Also pay attention to uniformity and rotate the flower pots every week.

4. Appropriate amount of fertilizer

The right amount of fertilizer can help it grow better, but don't use too high a concentration. Generally, use a thin liquid fertilizer every ten days or so. The type should also be chosen carefully, preferably evenly, and don't use too much nitrogen fertilizer.
