How big can a snake plant grow? Can it reproduce on its own?

1. How big can it grow?

It has many varieties, and different varieties grow to different heights. A common variety is the golden leaf tiger skin plant. This variety grows relatively tall, usually reaching about one meter. There is also another kind called short-leaf tiger skin plant. As the name suggests, it grows relatively short, usually only about ten centimeters.

2. Will it reproduce on its own?

It mainly reproduces through cuttings and division. It cannot reproduce by itself, but will grow small plants next to the mother plant. However, they must be planted separately to survive, which is what we often call division. This is usually done when repotting in spring. Cuttings are usually made from leaves. Cut the healthy leaves into a length of five or six centimeters and insert them into sandy soil. They will take root in about a month. Keep the humidity after planting, the survival rate is very high.
