How to breed Jade Kylin

How to breed Jade Kylin

1. Soil

Jade Qilin has low requirements for soil, as long as it is sandy soil with good drainage. When caring for the plant, you can mix leaf mold, garden soil and coal slag. There should not be stagnant water in the potting soil, otherwise the roots will easily rot.

2. Lighting

It likes light and should be placed in a place with good light during maintenance. The light in spring, autumn and winter is very beneficial to its growth. However, the light in summer is too strong, so it is necessary to block it in time, otherwise the leaves will be sunburned and turn yellow.

3. Temperature

During maintenance, it is best to keep the temperature between 22 and 28 degrees, and attention should be paid to both summer and winter. Growth will stop when the temperature is above 35 degrees in summer. It should be placed indoors in winter. If the temperature is controlled above 15 degrees, the leaves will not fall off, and it can safely survive the winter if the temperature is above 7 degrees.

4. Watering

Jade Qilin has a certain degree of drought resistance, so water it when the soil is dry and then water it thoroughly when you do. Control water in winter and keep the soil in the pot dry. Wait until the temperature rises in spring before slowly adding water.

5. Notes

Pay attention to ventilation during maintenance, otherwise the stuffy environment can easily cause diseases and pests, especially scale insects. When discovered, take immediate precautions to avoid further deterioration and affect its growth.
