How to grow onion flowers

How to grow onion flowers

1. Lighting

If you want it to bloom normally, it cannot do without sunlight. It should be placed in a place with good light. It is best to provide full sunlight, but it is still necessary to avoid the scorching sun in the summer afternoon to avoid sunburn. The light in winter is mild, so get as much sun as possible.

2. Soil

During the maintenance period, the soil is not required to contain much organic matter or humus, as long as there is no lumps, and the drainage and air permeability should be good. Sandy loam can be used for maintenance, which can meet its growth needs.

3. Watering

It does not require much water to grow, as long as it is kept moist. There must not be water accumulation in the soil, otherwise the roots will be directly damaged and growth will be affected. Observe the soil before watering and don’t water if it is not dry.

4. Fertilization

During maintenance, do not apply fertilizer indiscriminately even in the peak growing season. It does not require much nutrients and is relatively resistant to barrenness. Basically, no additional fertilizer is needed to avoid damaging the plant. Of course, if you find that the growth is weak, you still need to add fertilizer appropriately.

5. Temperature

It has almost no requirements for temperature. It prefers warmth but is also very cold-resistant and can tolerate low temperatures. It can safely spend the winter outdoors in the north.
