How to grow Brazilian iris in spring

How to grow Brazilian iris in spring

1. Increase nutrients

It grows faster in spring, and the nutrients in the soil cannot meet its needs. Additional nutrients are needed to meet its needs. When fertilizing it, you should choose fertilizers according to its condition. If its stems, branches and leaves are not growing healthily, you need to use fertilizers containing potassium; if the roots are not well developed, you need to use fertilizers containing nitrogen; if you need to keep seeds, you need to use fertilizers containing phosphorus. If its growth condition is good, you can just use general farm manure to add nutrients to it.

2. Increase watering

It has a relatively high demand for water. If there is insufficient water in the soil, it will stop growing. The temperature in early spring is not high and water evaporates slowly, so watering three or four times a week is enough. The temperature in late spring is relatively high, so the amount of watering needs to be increased, generally every day.

3. Reasonable lighting

It likes to grow in a semi-shaded environment, and when giving it light, it should be mainly diffuse light. Too strong sunlight can easily burn the plant. The sunlight in early spring is not strong and the plant can shine all day long. The sunlight in late spring is relatively strong and you need to move to a cool place to avoid the sun at noon.

4. Control temperature

It is a relatively delicate plant. The temperature of the environment in which it grows should not be too high or too low. It is best to keep it at 18 degrees. If you want to grow it outdoors, you have to wait until the climate stabilizes before moving it outdoors.
