How to grow a carnation bouquet

How to grow a carnation bouquet

1. Prepare the container

Before cultivating, you need to prepare a beautiful glass container so that you can always observe the growth of carnations. In addition, transparent glass containers are also more ornamental. Also add an appropriate amount of clean water to the vase. If you use tap water, leave it for 1-2 days before use. If conditions permit, you can add some aspirin.

2. Pruning

Before putting it in the vase, trim the bottom leaves so that the branches can better absorb water. It is best to use clean scissors to make diagonal cuts at the bottom, and the scissors used should be as sharp as possible so as not to cause unnecessary damage to the branches.

3. Improve ventilation

There should not be too many carnations in a vase, and they should not be placed too densely, otherwise it will seriously affect ventilation. Each flower branch should be separated to enhance ventilation. If the branches are tied together, it is best to loosen them. Also, if you find that the base of the branches has turned black, you need to prune them again.

4. Maintenance methods

Do not use a watering can to spray water on the flower branches during the maintenance period, as this will accelerate the degree of rot. If you find that the water in the container has become dirty, you should change the water in time and do not maintain the plant in dirty water. If you want it to bloom longer, you can also add some preservatives.
