How to grow potted crabapples

1. Soil

When breeding, you can use a mixture of river sand and leaf mold as soil, which is beneficial for drainage and later growth. In addition, it grows very fast, so it is best to turn the soil and repot it once a year. Use a larger pot to provide more growing space.

2. Temperature

Begonias like to grow in a slightly warm environment. During potted maintenance, you should pay attention to controlling the temperature between 18 and 20 degrees. Pay attention to the high temperatures in summer and the low temperatures in winter. When the temperature is high, spray more water to ventilate and cool down. When the temperature is low, place it indoors and provide an environment above 10 degrees to avoid frostbite.

3. Fertilizer and water

You don't need to water too frequently during maintenance, just keep it moist and avoid water accumulation. The specific frequency should vary with the seasons. In spring and autumn, water the plants once every three to five days, in summer, water them once every two days. In winter, control the water level and water them once every half a month. In addition, fertilizer should be applied frequently during the growing season, once every ten days, and cake fertilizer water can be used.

4. Pest Control

Various diseases and pests are likely to occur during maintenance, such as leaf spot, red star disease, aphids, and caterpillar moths, so preventive measures must be taken. Usually, keep it ventilated and exposed to light, but avoid strong light. When pests and diseases are found, they can be eliminated by spraying DDT or phoxim.
