Marigold can be propagated by seeds or cuttings.

1. Sowing method: Before sowing, you must first select the seeds to be used and prepare loose soil, which must be disinfected and set aside. Water the soil appropriately, and finally sow the seeds evenly, cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, and then cover them with an appropriate amount of straw.

2. Cutting method: The most suitable time for cutting is around June to August. Cut a 10 cm branch from the cosmos plant. The cut branches should meet the requirements of being healthy and free of diseases and pests. Also use sterilized soil and insert the branches into the soil. It grows relatively fast and usually blooms from August to December.

2. How to get seeds

When taking seeds, you must wait until the flowers have withered and they can only be harvested after they have grown and matured. Usually, you can just pick the seeds when they turn dark brown. After harvesting, it should be stored in a dry place. Note that its seeds are thread-shaped.
