What to do if water-planted lilies don’t bloom

What to do if water-planted lilies don’t bloom

1. Reduce the amount of water

When growing lilies in water, if you add too much water, the growth of the plant will be restricted, its respiratory function will be limited, and it will not bloom. You can reduce the amount of water used in hydroponics appropriately, which can promote the plants to bloom as soon as possible.

2. Change water regularly

The main nutrition for water culture comes from the water quality. If the water is not changed, the nutrients in it will be consumed. Then, the fish will not be able to absorb nutrients and fresh water, but the water cannot be changed every day. In spring and autumn, the water should be changed about every 3-4 days. In summer, when the temperature is relatively hot, the water should be changed every two days. In winter, once a week is enough to meet the growth needs. The higher the temperature, the more frequent the water changes.

3. Pay attention to pruning

If it is soaked in water for a long time, the bottom will start to rot and its function of transporting water will be weakened. You can cut the branches regularly, just cut off one centimeter from the bottom. Remember to cut them at an angle, so as to increase the cross-sectional area for water absorption.

4. Add nutrients

The nutrients in the water alone are far from enough. Nutrient solution must be added to it to supplement the nutrients needed for growth.
