1. Planting conditions

When planting, you should try to choose around September in autumn, because the climate at this time is more suitable for its growth. In the south, it can be postponed for a while, but in the north, it should be advanced to prevent the temperature from becoming too low and affecting its growth.

Saffron can be grown in many regions of our country. Henan has certain advantages and the current planting area is relatively large. In addition, it can also be grown in Zhejiang, Shandong, Shanghai and other places in my country.

3. Planting method

1. Prepare the soil: The soil must be prepared before planting. Try to choose soil that is fertile, loose, and has a certain drainage capacity. In addition, you need to add some basal fertilizer to the soil.

2. Seed selection: You should first select healthy bulbs and soak them in carbendazim for about 20 minutes to prevent invasion by diseases and pests. You also need to remove its side buds, and only keep 1-3 top buds. Finally, dry them in the sun for 2-3 days.

3. Planting: When planting, first water the soil thoroughly. After the water has penetrated, put the bulb into the soil with the top bud facing upwards, then cover it with soil.
