How to germinate succulent seeds

How to germinate succulent seeds

1. Astigmatism

During the germination period of succulent seeds, the demand for light is not high. However, in order to ensure the healthy growth of new sprouts, they should be placed in a place with scattered light after sowing. It cannot be placed directly in a sunny place, as direct sunlight will damage the tender shoots and cause them to wither.

2. Proper ventilation

After sowing, place the succulents in a well-ventilated place, but avoid the effects of strong winds. Generally speaking, if you raise them indoors, there will be no problem as long as it is not a very small sealed environment. If you have done a good job of disinfection before, you can also seal it up to prevent bacteria from entering.

3. Suitable temperature

If you want succulent seeds to germinate quickly, it is very important to maintain a suitable temperature. It is generally controlled at around 18℃, which can accelerate rooting. In winter, you must take good insulation measures. Low temperatures will greatly delay the rooting time and the roots are also susceptible to freezing.

4. Spray water moderately

The seeds need to be kept in a moist environment so that they can germinate quickly. If the disinfection work is done well, you can spray a proper amount of water before sealing with plastic film to ensure the humidity inside. If it is not sealed, spray water every few days to keep the environment moist.
