Tomato seedling time

Tomato seedling time

1. Seedling raising time

Most tomato seedlings are grown in spring, but the time for seedling cultivation varies from place to place and is affected by the climate. Generally, the time for spring seedling cultivation is around March to May. If seedling cultivation is carried out in a greenhouse, the time will be appropriately advanced by one or two months. Autumn is also possible, in most areas it is around July-August.

2. Seedling cultivation method

1. Nutrient soil: Before raising seedlings, you need to prepare the nutrient soil in advance. If it is planted in the ground, you need to turn the soil in advance and apply some decomposed organic fertilizer to the soil.

2. Seed treatment: Before planting, put the seeds in warm water, soak for about 15 minutes, and stir evenly. Then add some cold water to lower the temperature to about 35℃, and then soak for 6-8 hours. In addition, in order to prevent the seedlings from being affected by diseases, they must be soaked in a trisodium phosphate solution for 40 minutes, then washed with water and dried.

3. Sowing and seedling raising: When sowing, you can use the spot sowing method, or you can use the broadcast sowing method or the row sowing method. Finally, after sowing, cover it with a very thin layer of soil. After watering, just wait for it to germinate. Ensure a certain temperature and humidity, and seedlings will grow after a period of time.
