Should the flower stems of succulents be cut off?

Should the flower stems of succulents be cut off?

1. Cut off

Whether to cut it off depends on the specific situation. Both methods are acceptable. For some plants that may die after flowering, pruning them is the best treatment method. If they are not pruned, they will absorb too much nutrients for a long time, causing the plants to lack nutrients and make it difficult for them to survive normally. In this case, they must be pruned immediately to reduce excessive consumption of nutrients. When pruning, be careful not to damage the leaves underneath, and then wipe off the juice that flows out with paper. Pruning will also promote the growth of side buds and make the plant shape more plump and beautiful. The cut flower stems can also be used for cuttings. Dry the wounds and then plant them in the soil. New shoots will grow in about 15-30 days.

2. Don’t cut it off

If you want to appreciate its flowers, you don't need to cut them off. You can keep them to appreciate some of the more beautiful flowers. This is for varieties that are not easy to die after flowering. In order to prevent the leaves from withering and deforming due to the consumption of a large amount of nutrients if they are not cut off, you can apply some nutrients into them. This can reduce the risk of withering and ensure good growth in the later stage.
