Grafting method of yellow jasmine

1. Select rootstock and scion

When grafting, you must choose a good rootstock. You can use magnolia with a diameter of more than 5mm, or you can use yellow orchid as the rootstock. The scion must be in a healthy state, otherwise it will affect the grafting rate.

2. Handling the incision

Prepare a pair of scissors and make an incision at the base of the rootstock. The incision should be rectangular, 1-1.5 cm long and 3-5 mm wide. And the scion also needs to be cut into such an incision. When cutting the incision, the incision should be made smoother, and it is best to cut it in one go.

3. Grafting

The method of grafting is very simple. Align the cut of the rootstock and the scion, and then tightly combine the two. Afterwards, wrap the cut with film and tie it tightly, otherwise moisture will cause the joint to rot.

4. Grafting Management

After grafting, the plants must not be exposed to water or sprayed with water, and they must also be protected from rain during the rainy season. The soil needs to be slightly moist and should be kept away from direct sunlight for a long time.
