How to grow magnolia in summer

How to grow magnolia in summer

1. Provide shade in time

The intensity of sunlight in summer is very high and the light is relatively strong. You must pay attention to shade in this season. You can be exposed to sunlight before 10 am and after 4 pm, but pay attention to shade during noon. You can hang a shade net on the magnolia tree to block the strong light, and then take it down and put it away on cloudy days. Potted magnolias can be moved to the shade of trees and only exposed to soft scattered light.

2. Provide water

The temperature in summer is very high and the evaporation capacity is very strong, so the demand for water is relatively large. At this time, you can water it once a day. If it is very dry, you can water it once in the morning and evening. The specific watering can be decided according to weather conditions. If it is rainy, you can water the plants every other day because there is natural precipitation. For potted plant maintenance, you can spray some water around it to increase the humidity of the air.

3. Avoid getting wet in the rain

In addition to normal watering, it is also necessary to avoid rain and drain the water in time after rain, especially during the flowering period. The roots cannot be kept soaked in water all the time, which will damage the roots and easily cause symptoms of root rot.
