How much water should be given to gardenia per day?

1. How much water should be poured per day

Although gardenias love water, they do not need to be watered every day. If you water the plant once a day, a large amount of water will accumulate in the flowerpot, which will be difficult for the roots to absorb normally. In summer, you can water it once or twice, water it less in the morning, and water the flowerpot thoroughly around three o'clock in the afternoon to ensure that the soil in the pot can fully absorb the water. You don't need too much water, as too much water will easily accumulate. You only need to water the plant until a little water flows out. If the water absorption is insufficient, you can add some water.

2. Watering requirements

Only in summer does it need to be watered every day. In other seasons, the frequency of watering needs to be determined according to the dryness and wetness of the potting soil, and water should be given only after the potting soil is completely dry. Spring is the growing season and needs watering every 3 days or so. In early autumn, you can water the plants every two days. In the later period when the weather turns cooler, you can water the plants every five days or so. When winter comes and the climate gradually turns cooler, you can water the plants once every half a month or a month. It should be noted that gardenia is an acid-loving plant and grows best in an acidic environment, so the water quality cannot be alkaline. You can add ferrous sulfate into it.
