How to protect lucky bamboo from dying in winter?

How to protect lucky bamboo from dying in winter?

1. Control the temperature

Its cold resistance is very poor, and if you want it to grow normally, the temperature should always be maintained at around 20 degrees. Therefore, it is best to control the temperature at around 20 degrees during the winter, and the minimum should be kept above 10 degrees, otherwise the plants will easily be frostbitten and even die in severe cases.

2. Wrap your clothes

If there is no heating in the room and the temperature cannot be controlled, you should wrap a layer of clothing around the outside of the container and the branches above. This will also help it survive the winter and prevent it from being frostbitten.

3. Change water regularly

Even in winter, the water should be changed when the plant grows slowly. But don't change the water too frequently. About once every 20 to 30 days will be fine. Also pay attention to the water temperature. You should collect water in advance and place it indoors. Change the water when the water temperature is close to the indoor temperature control to avoid the water temperature being too low and irritating the plants. Changing water regularly and keeping the water clean can prevent disease infection and is also beneficial for wintering. In addition, please note that you do not need to add nutrient solution when changing the water.

4. Get more sun

The light in winter is very mild. You can usually put it in a place with good light and get more sun in winter. This can increase the temperature and the plant can also carry out photosynthesis, which is conducive to wintering. During the day, you can take off the wrapped clothes and expose it to more light. Put it on at night.
