How to take care of the newly bought azalea

How to take care of the newly bought azalea

1. How to take care of the newly bought azalea

In order to prevent the newly bought azalea from dehydration, it needs to be given plenty of water. No fertilization is needed at this time as normal growth has not yet begun. In order to help it adapt to the new environment faster, you can place it in a warm place with sufficient diffuse light for maintenance.

2. Specific breeding methods

1. Light: It is a shade-loving plant. When you first buy it, you cannot put it directly in direct sunlight. You should put it in a place where it can receive scattered light for maintenance. After it gradually resumes normal growth, you can extend the light exposure time appropriately.

2. Watering: When you first buy it, to prevent it from dehydration, you need to water it thoroughly once. After that, you can wait until the soil in the pot is dry before watering, so that the soil in the pot remains moist but not wet. It should be noted that alkaline water should not be used for watering, and the water temperature should not be too cold.

3. Temperature: It is neither heat-resistant nor cold-resistant. When you first buy it, you need to keep it in an environment with a temperature of about 23°C, which will help it adapt to the new environment. It should not be placed in a place that is too cold at this time, otherwise its roots will easily freeze, and it will be more difficult to recover after freezing.

4. Fertilization: When it is just bought, it does not need too much nutrition and you need to stop fertilizing temporarily. After it resumes growth, you can apply thin cake fertilizer liquid water 2-3 times a month.
