How to take care of the newly bought million bell

1. Don’t change the pot

The newly bought Million Dollar Plant is usually a potted plant with flower buds in the flowering period. Do not change the pot after you bring it home, otherwise it will easily damage the root system of the Million Dollar Plant and cause the flowers and buds to fall off. If you dislike the ugly original pot, you can use another pot for maintenance.

2. Sunbathing

Million-year-old lily likes sunshine, but if you just bought the potted plant, it is best to place it in diffuse light for 3 days to allow the plant to adapt to the new environment. After 3 days, move to the south balcony with good sunlight to get more sunlight so that the million-leaf lily will bloom more.

3. Moderate temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for Milleta is 13-18℃. It is afraid of both high temperature and frost. In summer, the potted plants should be placed in a relatively cool place for maintenance. In winter, the weather is cold, so the potted plants should be moved indoors to ensure that the maintenance temperature is not lower than 0℃.

4. Water appropriately

As a herbaceous flower, the Million Little Ling should be watered according to the principle of "watering when the soil is dry and watering when the soil is wet". If the soil surface is dry, hold the flowerpot lightly and water it thoroughly. Or, depending on the condition of the plant, water it before the leaves of the Millennium Xiaoling wilt. It should not be too dry or too waterlogged.

5. Apply thin fertilizer frequently

When fertilizing the Millennium Xiaoling, it is important to apply thin fertilizer frequently, that is, every half a month in spring and autumn, water the Millennium Xiaoling with a light amount of fertilizer. Do not fertilize during the flowering period. After the flowers fade, water the plant with a balanced amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and then switch to phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.

6. Pruning after flower withering

I just bought a Million-dollar Plant. When the first batch of flowers are about to fade, I used scissors to gently cut off the remaining flowers and 1-2 pairs of leaves under the flowers. When pruning, it is best to cut the plant into a ball shape, which will look great when it blooms again.
