What to do if the leaves of tuberose turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of tuberose turn yellow

1. Water appropriately

Reason: If tuberose is in a waterlogged environment for a long time, it will suffer from oxygen deficiency, which will cause the leaves to turn yellow; if the soil in the pot is dry and water-deficient for a long time, the leaves will also turn yellow.

Solution: The amount of watering should be controlled at ordinary times to keep the soil in the pot moist. There should not be excess water in the soil, and the soil should not become compacted. If the amount of watering is large, loosen the soil appropriately and place it in a ventilated place for maintenance.

2. Increase lighting

Reason: If tuberose grows in a place without light, it will grow poorly and its leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: When maintaining it, it needs to be exposed to sunlight, especially in winter, and try to receive sunlight throughout the day. It should be placed in a light-filled place at ordinary times, but when the sun is very strong in summer, it is necessary to provide shade and avoid being exposed to direct sunlight.

3. Scientific fertilization

Reason: If too much fertilizer is applied on a regular basis, fertilizer damage will easily occur, the plant roots will be burned, and the leaves will turn yellow; if there is a long-term lack of fertilizer, the leaves will turn yellow due to lack of nutrients.

Solution: Control the amount and frequency of fertilizer application. During the peak growth period, fertilize every 15-20 days. Don't apply fertilizer too frequently. If the amount of fertilizer is large, water more or sow some vegetable seeds, and pull them out after the seedlings grow, which can consume the excess fertilizer in the potting soil.
