How to treat yellowing leaves of Dendrobium

How to treat yellowing leaves of Dendrobium

1. Reasonable exposure to light

Reason: Dendrobium is a very shade-tolerant plant and prefers to grow in a semi-shaded environment. If the light is too strong, the leaves will turn yellow. In severe cases, the leaves will be burned and spots will appear, which will have a great impact on its growth.

Solution: Cut off the yellow leaves in time, place the Dendrobium in a cool place, avoid direct sunlight, spray a little water appropriately, and maintain about 70% shade to promote recovery.

2. Adjust the water content

Reason: Dendrobium requires a lot of water during its growth process. If watering is not timely, the roots will dry out and the leaves will turn yellow. Applying too much water is also one of the reasons. It will cause the roots to rot, hinder the absorption function, and also cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: Pay attention when watering. Water the plant in time when you find the soil in the pot is dry. Also maintain the surrounding air humidity. Water the plant thoroughly at one time to ensure an appropriate amount of water.

3. Adjust fertilization

Reason: Excessive fertilization will cause the leaves to turn yellow obviously.

Solution: Stop fertilizing and use water to dilute the fertilizer effect.

4. Maintain temperature

Reason: When the temperature is too high, exceeding 32 degrees or 35 degrees, yellow leaves will appear.

Solution: Move it to a cool place and spray water mist to cool it down.
