Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Begonia

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Begonia

1. Environmental Change

Reason: If the growing environment of Begonia changes and it is not able to adapt to the new environment, its leaves will naturally turn yellow.

Method: There is no need to worry about this situation, just remove the yellow leaves and continue to maintain it with confidence.

2. Unsuitable light exposure

Reason: If there is insufficient light indoors, photosynthesis cannot be carried out and yellow leaves will appear. Yellow leaves will also appear if the plant is exposed to strong light or overexposure in the summer.

Method: It needs to be given sunlight reasonably, with more sunlight during the growing period. Once exposed to the sun, it needs to be moved to a cool place for maintenance.

3. Improper water and fertilizer

Cause: Long-term lack of water and fertilizer, or dry air, the plant cannot maintain its growth, which will cause yellow leaves. However, if too much water and fertilizer are applied, the leaves will turn yellow.

Method: Provide water and fertilizer reasonably, add as appropriate when insufficient, and spray water to keep moist in summer. When too much water and fertilizer are applied, it is necessary to promote drainage.

4. Incorrect temperature

Reason: Summer and winter are special. Temperatures that are too high or too low are not conducive to plant growth. When problems occur with the plants, yellow leaves will appear.

Method: Provide shade in summer and spray water to lower the temperature. In winter, it needs more sunlight and should be moved indoors in time.

5. Infection with pests and diseases

Cause: Improper plant maintenance and infection with pests and diseases can also cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Method: First remove the diseased leaves, and then spray the treatment agent according to the symptoms.
