If the roots of the Monstera deliciosa are rotten, do not apply fertilizer first. Then dig the Monstera deliciosa out of the pot, cut off the rotten roots, trim the leaves, and place it in a cool and ventilated place to dry. Wait until the wound is dry and healed before planting it.

Monstera hydroponics root rot

When the bacteria multiply in large numbers, they will corrode the roots and cause root rot.

The pruned roots should be placed in potassium permanganate solution for disinfection, then taken out and dried.
