How to germinate strawberry seeds and how to grow seedlings

1. How to germinate strawberry seeds

Strawberry seeds can be placed in a damp cloth to germinate. Specifically, first prepare a piece of unused cloth and soak it with water. Then pick out the strawberry seeds from the pulp, wash them with water, wrap them in cloth, and keep them for a day. This will soften the outer shell of the seeds. After one day, you can take it out of the cloth and store it in a refrigerator at 0-3℃ for about 15 days. Taking them out and sowing them later can significantly increase the germination rate.

2. How to grow strawberry seedlings

1. Temperature: Strawberry seedlings like to grow in a warm environment. When raising seedlings, it is recommended to control the temperature between 15-25℃. Such temperature conditions allow the seedlings to grow and develop rapidly.

2. Sunlight: When the strawberry is in the seedling stage, it should be given an appropriate amount of soft light, but it should not be exposed to too strong light. This can help it accumulate nutrients faster and grow faster.

3. Watering: When it is in the seedling stage, it does not need frequent watering. If it rains and the soil maintains a certain moisture level, you don't need to water. But if it doesn't rain for a long time and the soil has dried up, you should water it in time to replenish moisture.

4. Fertilization: No fertilizer is needed when the strawberries are just sprouting. Fertilization can only be applied when it has grown several young leaves and the root system has initially developed. It is advisable to use compound fertilizer, which must be diluted before application.
