Disease prevention and control of fortune tree

Root rot

symptom

Root rot is a common disease that seriously harms the money tree, called root rot. It mainly harms the rhizomes of the money tree. When the disease occurs, the rhizomes become soft and rotten, and in severe cases the plant dies.

Prevention and treatment methods

Ensure the environment is relatively dry and the air is fresh. When the plant shows signs of disease and the leaves turn yellow, spray it with cypermethrin in time to prevent the fungus from worsening.

If you find that the roots of the plant are rotten, you can remove the plant from the pot, cut off the injured part, then apply fungicide to the wound, dry it in a cool place, and then replant it.

Disinfect the soil in time. One week after replanting the money tree, the soil should be disinfected again. Use Prokopilot, Anke or Zinc Manganese Metadale (Ridomil-Manganese Zinc) to spray the bare stem of the money tree, and it is best to let the liquid flow along the stem into the potting soil. In the following weeks, spray with fungicide once a week for 3 to 5 weeks.

Leaf blight

symptom

In fact, many flower lovers have a question: isn’t yellowing leaves leaf blight? Actually, no. Leaf blight mainly manifests itself as the appearance of irregularly sized yellow-white or gray-white spots on the leaves. When the humidity increases, small scattered particles like needle tips will form. The yellowing of leaves mainly means that the leaves turn yellow as a whole and become dull and lifeless.

Prevention and treatment methods

If diseased leaves are found, remove them promptly and destroy them.

Strengthen maintenance, water in time, and apply foliar fertilizer 2 to 3 times during each growing season, such as spraying the leaves with 0.5% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution.

Take preventive measures in advance. In the northern regions, spray the money tree with fungicide once a month during the growing season, using 800 times diluted 70% Benomyl. In the southern region, starting from the rainy season, spray 800 times diluted 50% carbendazim every 10 to 15 days.
