Disease control of white butterfly

Disease control of white butterfly

White butterfly leaf spot

Symptoms

White butterfly leaf spot disease mostly occurs in spring and autumn. When the disease appears, it will infect the leaves and stems of white butterflies. Many circular spots will appear on the diseased leaves, which will gradually expand to form an irregular cluster of spots and produce papers. The reddish-brown color gradually turns into black-brown. The stems and petioles appear as brown spots in the shape of long strips. The pathogen overwinters on the surface with the diseased remains. When the disease occurs the following year, it spreads with wind and rain and harms the plants.

Prevention and treatment methods

1. Discover diseased tissues promptly and burn them in a concentrated manner.

2. Indoor potted plants need to have their soil changed in a timely manner and the soil in the pots must be disinfected.

3. It is not advisable to water the plants directly.

4. In the early stage of the disease, pay attention to spraying 1000 times solution of 50% thiophanate and 500 times solution of 70% mancozeb for prevention and control, and pay attention to the alternating use of pesticides.

White butterfly anthracnose

Symptoms

Anthracnose harms the flowers, leaves and other parts of the white butterfly plant, and usually invades through wounds. When the disease first occurs, black or dark brown circular spots appear, which then quickly expand and connect into one piece, and will begin to rot in 2-3 days.

Prevention and treatment methods

1. When the disease occurs, pay attention to cleaning the diseased leaves of the plant in time, keep the whole plant clean and hygienic, and strengthen the management of fertilizer and water.

2. Pay attention to spraying 1000 times diluted 70% methyl thiophanate wettable powder for prevention and control.
