Diseases and their control of red banana

Diseases and their control of red banana

Banana leaf spot

Leaf spot is also called leaf blight. In the early stage of the disease, small discontinuous spots often appear on the leaves of the red banana. The color of the spots is mostly reddish-brown. As the disease progresses, the leaf spot disease manifests itself in the middle stage as the spots gradually increase in size and the color deepens from the center to the outside. Some spots have begun to expand and connect into one. In the later stage, basically the entire leaf will turn reddish-brown and eventually wither and die. The prevention and control methods should start from winter. At the beginning, the diseased leaves should be collected and burned in winter to prevent them from being infected with leaf spot disease again in spring. In the early and middle stages of the disease, they should be sprayed with drugs regularly. If the leaf spot disease of the plant is already in the late stage on a large scale, the plant can be removed at this time to prevent infection of other plants.

Anthracnose of red banana

Anthracnose is caused by anthracnose bacteria. If not treated in time, it is likely to affect other plants, causing growth problems or even causing other plants to wither and die. Anthracnose and leaf blight are very similar. Both harm the leaves of the plants, causing the leaves to wither and thus causing the death of the entire plant. The prevention and control methods are the same as for leaf blight. Burn the dead leaves in time in winter. When the disease is found, spray it with medicine in time.
