What to do if the Jade Leaf drops its leaves

What to do if the Jade Leaf drops its leaves

Reasons for leaf drop

Reason 1: Excessive watering causes the root system to shrink, resulting in leaf falling.

Reason 2: Insufficient light. In the absence of light, the plant grows weak due to lack of nutrients, and the leaves grow poorly and fall off.

Reason three: Less fertilizer is applied. In addition to the influence of light on nutrient accumulation, the amount of fertilizer applied also has a certain impact. If too little fertilizer is applied during the growth process, nutrients will be lacking; if too much fertilizer is applied, fertilizer damage will occur. If you apply fertilizer improperly, leaves will fall no matter how you maintain the plant.

Reason 4: The branches and leaves are too dense. Some flower lovers say that it is normal for leaves to fall due to too dense branches and leaves, but it is not. In the short term, the plant will shed leaves due to poor light and air permeability, but in the long run it will definitely affect the growth of the plant.

Workaround

First of all, you need to move the plant to a place with sufficient sunlight or scattered light for maintenance. Try not to place it in a dark place. Water it alternately between dry and wet areas. Don't water it too often. The Jade Plant prefers drought and cannot tolerate waterlogging. When applying fertilizer, it is also necessary to apply it in small amounts and frequently to avoid fertilizer damage.

In addition, the root system of Jade Plant is not very developed, so the flowerpot you choose for potted plants should not be too large, otherwise it will be detrimental to the growth of the roots. During maintenance, ventilation should be strengthened, and as long as the temperature is suitable, try to place it near the window for maintenance.

I have something to say

During the maintenance process of Jade Plant, the leaves may become soft, which is similar to leaf falling, but also different. It should be noted that the soft leaves may also be caused by root rot. It is necessary to check the growth of the roots and replant them after appropriate treatment. If the problem is serious, you can only prune and re-graft.
