What to do if lavender leaves wilt

What to do if lavender leaves wilt

1. Reasons

(1) Temperature

In an environment where the temperature is too high or too low, it will not be able to carry out normal physiological activities and will grow poorly, which will be manifested in the leaves becoming soft and wilted.

(2) Water content

Long-term lack of water will cause it to be unable to grow normally and its leaves will wilt; excessive watering will cause water to accumulate in the soil, rotting its roots and causing its leaves to wilt.

(3) Lighting

Too much sunlight will burn its leaves and cause them to wilt.

2. Measures

(1) When summer is approaching, that is, around May, the plants need to be moved to a place where they cannot be directly exposed to sunlight. Attention should also be paid to the degree of ventilation and lowering the temperature to maintain a cool state so that the plants can survive the heat of midsummer.

(2) In terms of soil, try to use neutral soil with a balanced acid-base content and good drainage.

(3) When watering, this plant does not like to have water in its roots, so before watering, you should observe whether the inside of the plant is dry. It is best to water it after the leaves have shrunk slightly. Watering should be done in the morning. Do not water directly on the leaves, as this will indirectly cause the leaves to rot. If it rains when growing outdoors, avoid raindrops falling directly on the plants.

(4) The light required by plants should be optimal throughout the day, and ventilation should be enhanced. During the hot summer season, the lighting time should be reduced and it should be avoided from strong light.

(5) As for pruning, it is best to do it in spring, which can ensure the success rate and make the plants grow more vigorously.
