Why doesn't Kalanchoe bloom? (It only grows leaves but no flowers)

1. Reasons for not blooming

1. Improper lighting: When caring for Kalanchoe, exposing it to sunlight for a long time every day or exposing it to excessive sunlight will hinder its growth and flowering. In addition, prolonged periods of darkness or uneven light exposure every day will also affect flowering.

2. Uneven nutrients: Kalanchoe needs nutrients to bloom. If it is not fertilized for a long time, the plant will be in a fertilizer deficiency condition, the flower bud differentiation will be very slow, and it will be difficult to bloom. In addition, applying fertilizers with high nitrogen content on a regular basis will promote leaf growth and be detrimental to flowering.

3. Lack of water: It should have water support before it blooms. Lack of water will make the soil too dry, which will affect the formation of flower buds.

2. Treatment methods

1. Reasonable lighting: Do not expose it to direct sunlight, nor to lack sunlight. It should receive at least 4 hours of sunlight every day. During the period when it is receiving light, rotate the flowerpot appropriately to allow the plant to receive light more evenly.

2. Nutrient balance: Control the nitrogen content of fertilizers and add some potassium dihydrogen phosphate to promote flowering. Note that the concentration of fertilizer should be controlled to avoid being too high.

3. Rehydrate in time: When the soil becomes dry, water should be given in time to keep it slightly moist at all times. But the amount of water and number of times of glue application should not be too high, as too much water can also cause root rot.
