How to prevent black rot in succulent plants

How to prevent black rot in succulent plants

1. Open windows for ventilation

When growing succulents, the maintenance environment must ensure adequate ventilation. If growing them indoors, open the doors and windows more often. If the plant is grown in a high temperature and stuffy environment, black rot will occur. It is best to place it near the window, balcony, etc.

2. Pay attention to rain protection

During the maintenance period, be sure not to be exposed to heavy rain, and be sure to shelter from rain when it rains. Because it is difficult for the rainwater to drain out in time after the plant is exposed to rain, black rot will occur over time. Or after it rains, pour out the water in the flowerpot in time to avoid water accumulation in the pot.

3. Regular sterilization

This is also a very important point. If the plant is attacked by pathogens, it will cause poor growth and will rot. Therefore, sterilization work should be done to prevent the plants from being damaged. The best way is to spray fungicides appropriately during maintenance.

4. Control temperature

If the temperature of the maintenance environment is too high, black rot is likely to occur. The highest temperature should not be higher than 25°C, otherwise it is likely to be attacked by diseases and insects. During the breeding period, when the room temperature is high, cooling measures should be taken as soon as possible to avoid growth in a high temperature environment.
