What to do if the lily leaves wilt

What to do if the lily leaves wilt

1. Increase lighting

Reason: Lack of light affects the growth of lilies and causes the plants to grow too tall, growing only without blooming.

Solution: Place the lilies in a sunny environment, such as on a sunny windowsill or balcony indoors. The daily lighting time should be no less than 6 hours, and it can withstand strong light. However, it is best to place it in a place with soft light, which is more conducive to its growth.

2. Improve ventilation

Cause: Poor ventilation leads to a decrease in air quality, which in turn weakens respiration and causes the leaves to wilt.

Solution: Improve ventilation and move the plants to a better ventilated place. Also pay attention to the temperature and air humidity. In a high temperature or dry environment, you can spray water on the leaves to both cool down and increase humidity.

3. Water in time

Reason: Lack of water causes the leaves to wilt, which is also a very common reason.

Solution: Water the plants promptly, and water them sufficiently each time, but do not allow water to accumulate. In addition, as the plant grows, the amount of water should be slowly increased, especially during the flowering period, but watering should be reduced after flowering, and watering should be stopped after it withers.

4. Reduce fertilization

Cause: Excessive fertilization causes root burn, which makes the roots unable to absorb water and nutrients, causing the leaves to wilt.

Solution: Add water to dilute it in time. If there is still too much fertilizer, the potting soil needs to be replaced. The soil needs to be sterilized to avoid bacterial infection and burnt roots.
