Reasons why camellia does not grow buds

Reasons why camellia does not grow buds

1. Insufficient sunlight

Camellia has not grown flower buds, probably because there is not enough sunlight. Sunlight is an important factor in the formation of flower buds. Sufficient sunlight is needed during the growth process so that flower buds can grow and the flowers can bloom. If it grows in a dark environment for a long time, it will not only affect the growth of flower buds, but also affect the health of the plant.

2. Malnutrition

Flowers need sufficient nutrients to bloom. If not enough nutrients are applied before flowering, there will be no nutrients available for subsequent growth and flower buds will naturally not grow. You can add phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer before flowering, but be careful not to add too high a concentration.

3. Excessive nitrogen fertilizer

It is not only because of insufficient nutrient addition, but it may be because too much nitrogen fertilizer is applied, causing the plant to grow tall, making it difficult to supply nutrients to the flowers, resulting in no flower buds growing. It is necessary to reduce the addition of nitrogen before flowering and add fertilizers with other elements.

4. Excessive water

If too much water is applied during the early growth period, causing the soil in the pot to be too moist, it will also make it difficult for flower buds to form. You can control the water before flowering and spray water mist appropriately to increase the humidity.
