Why are sunflowers losing their leaves?

Why are sunflowers losing their leaves?

1. Insufficient light

Sunflowers have a very high demand for light and are suitable for direct sunlight. If there is a lack of sunlight, it will be difficult for sunflowers to grow normally. Unable to absorb sunlight, the plants will gradually weaken and the leaves will fall off. It is best to move the sunflowers outdoors for maintenance and expose them to sufficient sunlight. If they are maintained indoors, they should also be placed where they can be exposed to sunlight to maintain their growth needs.

2. Improper water and fertilizer

During the normal growth process, the requirements for water and fertilizer are not great. Only regular watering and fertilization are needed. If the water and fertilizer are not applied reasonably, it will cause problems with the roots, the growth of the entire plant will become poor, and the leaves will fall naturally. It is necessary to pay attention to the reasonable application of water and fertilizer, and make appropriate adjustments according to the situation.

3. Temperature discomfort

Temperature is also an important point. It can withstand high temperatures, but its growth will be affected in cold climates. Cold winds can cause frostbite and leaves will fall off. The temperature needs to be kept at a good range of about 20-25 degrees Celsius.

4. Metabolism

A small amount of leaf fall may be due to metabolism caused by environmental changes. There is no need to worry about this, just continue to maintain it.
