What to do if the trunk of the fortune tree is half rotten? How to save the rotten trunk

1. Pruning

Once you find that the trunk of the money tree is rotten, you need to prune it in time. Because the rotten parts cannot carry out normal physiological activities and may also attract bacteria and make the plant sick, they must be cut off in time. Before cutting, disinfect the scissors with disinfectant to prevent the cut ends from being infected by bacteria. When cutting, use scissors to cut them off completely without leaving any residue.

2. Disinfection

After pruning, the cut ends must be disinfected. Potassium permanganate can be used as the disinfectant, or some flower fungicides that have the effect of killing bacteria, such as thiophanate-methyl, carbendazim, etc. After preparing the disinfectant, you need to add 1000-2000 times of clean water to dilute it. Then place the plant with the cut end facing down and soak it for about 30 minutes to completely disinfect it.

3. Replanting

Prepare some soft and breathable new flower soil to replace the old soil and put it into the flowerpot. Then place the disinfected plants in a ventilated place to dry, and then plant them in the flower soil. If a lot of roots are cut off, you can soak them in rooting water for about 30 minutes before planting to promote rooting. After planting, place it in a warm place with a temperature of about 20℃. It will grow new roots and new shoots in about 20 days.
