How to grow balcony zucchini

1. Seed soaking

Choose seeds that are full and have no damage on the surface.

Soak the seeds in cold water for 15 minutes, then in 55 °C water for 20 minutes, and when the water cools to 30 °C, soak for another 6 hours.

After soaking, take it out, dry it in a cool place until it is half dry, and then put it in an environment of 25 ℃ for germination.

2. Sowing

1~2 days after the seeds are germinated, when the sprouts grow to 1.5cm , they can be sown!

Choose a sunny, warm day to plant the seeds in pots.

Sprinkle the seeds directly on the surface of the potting soil, and then cover it with a 1~2cm layer of soil. Plant one per pot, don’t be greedy.

3. Management during the growth period

Temperature: The growing temperature of zucchini is 25~30 ℃, and the temperature at night should not be lower than 15 ℃. Under suitable temperature, seedlings will emerge in 3 to 4 days. Pay attention to ventilation after emergence.

Watering: Potted zucchini must not lack water. Water it at least once a day. If the air is dry, you can increase the watering frequency appropriately. With sufficient water, the melons will be of better quality.

Fertilization: Depends on the growth of the plants. When the plant grows slowly and the leaves wilt, apply some organic fertilizer appropriately.
