The correct steps for planting garlic sprouts

The correct steps for planting garlic sprouts

1. Planting Season

Because the seed varieties selected vary, there is no particularly fixed time. Generally speaking, the seeds are sown in October, and by June of the following year, the garlic sprouts will have grown and can be harvested. However, if it is in a greenhouse, the time requirements are not so strict, and sowing can even be done in winter.

2. Variety selection

When sowing, pay attention to the variety. It is best to choose varieties with small petals, such as "White Horse Teeth" and other varieties. When these varieties grow into garlic sprouts, their quality is better than that of the large-petal varieties.

3. Land preparation and sowing

Choose a suitable place for sowing one week before sowing. Then, dig out the original bed soil, pile it next to it, and then cover it with a layer of horse manure and compact it. Pay attention to the thickness, which is about ten to fifteen centimeters. This is to ensure that the temperature of the soil is within the range suitable for the growth of garlic sprouts. If the surrounding temperature is suitable, there is no need to lay the soil. After paving, spread the soil on top of it with a thickness of ten to twelve centimeters, making sure it is even. You can also add some animal manure into the soil as fertilizer, but make sure it is well-rotted. Once you are ready, you can sow the seeds in the soil.

4. Post-maintenance

After sowing, the temperature and light should be suitable. The garlic sprouts can be harvested around June of the following year.
