Bonsai creation and maintenance of cinnabar root

Bonsai creation and maintenance of cinnabar root

Bonsai Making

The production of cinnabar root is very simple, mainly involving selecting the pot and the soil.

The principles for choosing flower pots are, first, to choose the appropriate one according to the size of the cinnabar root plant, and second, to choose some flower pots with special shapes that are suitable for growing cinnabar roots.

When choosing soil, the principle is to make it loose and breathable. A mixture of leaf mold, garden soil and river sand is a good choice. You can also buy some special breeding soil.

When making bonsai, you need to first put some broken tiles in the flowerpot, sprinkle a layer of coarse sand, and then put soil on it. Put the cinnabar roots in the pot and cover the surface of the soil with a layer of moss. It needs to be watered sufficiently and then placed in semi-shaded location for maintenance.

Bonsai maintenance

The bonsai maintenance of Cinnabar root mainly involves pruning and shaping and daily cultivation.

Daily cultivation requires watering and fertilizing based on changes in climate and environment, and meeting the conditions such as light and temperature required for growth. Good cultivation methods can ensure the healthy growth of cinnabar roots, reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests, and thus make cinnabar roots have good ornamental effects.

The shaping of cinnabar root depends on pruning.

The pruning of cinnabar roots should start from the seedling stage, and when the seedlings grow to about 10cm, you should start pinching the tips. Pinching can encourage more branches of the cinnabar roots, making the whole plant look more fluffy and fuller. Depending on the shape of the plant, you should also cut off the branches of the cinnabar root that affect its appearance, including branches that are too long or too thin, dead branches, or diseased branches. You should also frequently trim diseased and yellow leaves to keep the cinnabar root in the best ornamental state.
