The root system is well developed and as white as jade, making it suitable for growing in water in a transparent glass container. The leaves are basal, broad-lanceolate, with slender petioles, emerald green in color, obvious veins, and long petioles. The pedicels are long, and the bracts of the spathe are green at first and then turn white. The inflorescence is shaped like a palm, so it is called white palm. Because it looks like a white sail in the sea, it is also called "smooth sailing". White calla lily has the function of filtering harmful gases, and can filter formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia and acetone in the air.
