A complete guide to the hydroponic culture of Anthurium

Water cultivation steps

1. Choose a pot of Anthurium with beautiful plant shape and flowers, gently pat the sides of the pot, remove it and change the pot.

2. Then remove the peat soil

3. Soak and clean with water

4. Rinse the roots with a faucet with a spray head

5. Trim off the yellow leaves and residual roots, soak them in 0.1% potassium permanganate solution for 15 minutes for disinfection, and then rinse them with clean water.

6. Prepare a round glass bottle and place pebbles on the bottom for decoration.

7. Add clean water to cover two-thirds of the root system.

8. Place the anthurium plant in the container and you are done.

Daily care

1. It is difficult to clean the matrix residue on the root hairs of Anthurium in one go. You can gradually clean it in combination with daily maintenance. Do not force wash it because it will cause root damage.

2. The roots are generally not pruned. Depending on the situation after water cultivation, the growing roots are only slightly cut short. ,

3. The leaves should be sprayed with water several times throughout the year. After the flowers fade, cut off the remaining flowers and spray foliar fertilizer so that the anthurium can grow normally.

4. Anthurium requires a stable water temperature, and the water temperature difference should not be too large when changing the nutrient solution.
