The legend of monk fruit

The story goes like this: on a lifeless autumn, there was a woodcutter named Luo who had an old mother who was sick in bed at home and was suffering from illness. The woodcutter was very sad to see this situation and wanted to cure his mother's illness. He went up the mountain to chop firewood early every morning. He took the firewood to the market to sell it and used the money to pay for his mother's medical treatment.

That morning, the woodcutter went out early as usual and ran to the place on the mountain where he had been chopping wood. Inadvertently, he chopped down a hornet's nest on the mountain. The poisonous bees instantly flew out of the nest and stung the panicked woodcutter. The woodcutter's arm was stung by a poisonous bee, leaving a big lump. The poison made the woodcutter feel nauseous. There was no one living on the mountain, so he had to go down to look for someone who could help.

The long mountain road made the injured woodcutter very tired, so he found a place to sit down.

At this time, a fresh fragrance mixed with a strong scent floated over. The woodcutter looked around and found several wild fruits growing next to a big tree not far away. Thirsty and tired, he walked forward to pick some wild fruits and put them in his mouth. The fruits were sweet and delicious, and instantly relieved the feeling of nausea. This effect gave him an idea. He applied the juice of the fruit to the stung area. Sure enough, not long after, the stung area felt extremely refreshed and the pain was relieved. Delighted, he picked some more fruits and walked home, wanting to take them back for his mother to taste.

After returning home, my mother ate the wild fruits brought back by the woodcutter. After a few days, her condition changed unexpectedly and the symptoms gradually disappeared. They were amazed at the miraculous effect of Yeguo, so they picked some wild fruits from the mountain and kept them for future use. If anyone in the village suffered from the same disease, he would send them to help them treat it.

Not long after that, a quack doctor named Han passed by and heard that wild fruits could cure diseases. So he found the woodcutter and begged him to take him to pick some fruits for research. It didn't take long for the doctor to make medicine out of wild fruits, and it gradually spread among the people. Later, in order to remember them, people gave this wild fruit a name called Luo Han Guo.
