How to preserve hawthorn without rotting? Can hawthorn be eaten after it rots?

1. How to save it from rotting

1. Store in a cool place: If you want to store it for a while and eat it soon, you can put it in a cool place and keep it well ventilated.

2. Store in the refrigerator: Do not wash the hawthorns you buy, and do not get them wet. Put them in a fresh-keeping bag and then put them in the refrigerator. They can be stored for a long time. When you want to eat them, just take them out, wash them and you can eat them. If you want to keep it for a long time, you can also put it in the freezer.

3. Storage in a jar: You can also prepare a jar and store a small amount at home. Put a clay pot in the jar, and then put the hawthorn in it. Spread a layer of leaves 15 cm away from the edge of the jar, and then put it in a cool room.

4. Storage in trenches: This method is suitable for large-scale preservation. Choose a place with flat terrain, not prone to water accumulation, sheltered from the wind and facing the sun. Dig a trench and spread a layer of wet sand underneath. Then pile the hawthorns in it and cover them with straw mats.

5. Soak in water: If the hawthorn is cut fresh, soak it in salt water to prevent it from turning yellow and you can eat it tomorrow.

2. Can you still eat it after it rots?

Hawthorn cannot be eaten after it rots. It has already gone bad and bacteria have appeared. Eating it will affect your body.
