Basin

Potting is usually done in spring or autumn, preferably on a rainy day. Before transplanting, make a good soil ball to ensure the survival rate. The soil in the flowerpot should be loose, fertile, and acidic soil. The soil ratio is 2 parts leaf mold, 3 parts sandy soil, and 2 parts decomposed cake fertilizer. Mix them evenly, and then pot or repot.

Light and temperature

It can overwinter in the open field south of the Yellow River. North of the Yellow River, it needs to overwinter indoors in a sunny place, and the indoor temperature should be kept above 5 degrees but not more than 10 degrees. Move it outdoors in April of the following year and place it in a sunny place sheltered from the wind for maintenance. After it grows steadily, gradually move it to a ventilated and sunny place. Insufficient light during the growth period will affect the differentiation of flower buds.

Plastic pruning

It depends on the tree. The main frame should be set according to the tree's posture, and other suckers, overcrowded branches, long branches, crossed branches, and sick and weak branches should be removed to ensure ventilation and light transmission. For trees that are strong on the top but weak on the bottom, you can shorten the upper branches by 1/3 to make the tree stronger overall. At the same time, apply callus antiseptic film to the pruned ends to protect the wounds.
