Canna flowering periodThe flowering period of canna is concentrated in summer and autumn. In the north, the flowering period of canna is from June to October, while in the south, it can bloom all year round. Canna flowers come in a variety of colors. We usually see yellow, red, orange, white, and some large flowers with spots. In addition to these common colors, cannas also come in pink, purple and other varieties. How to prolong the flowering period of canna1. Bring indoors in time: Canna is native to tropical areas and prefers warm climates and plenty of sunshine. When the temperature is between 25℃ and 28℃, the flowers bloom quickly, and it usually takes about 7 days from budding to viewing the flowers. In the north, if you want cannas to bloom in winter, you must move them indoors before October 15th. 2. The room temperature should be high: When cultivating canna, the temperature needs to be kept between 15℃ and 18℃, so that its flowering period can be extended to the New Year. 3. There must be sufficient sunlight: After entering the room, the daily sunshine time must exceed 4 hours. If there is insufficient sunlight, you can use 40-watt fluorescent lamps for lighting. 4-6 hours of sunshine per day can keep the flowers bright and the leaves tender. 4. Fertilizer and water should be appropriate: After entering the room, the moisture content of the soil must be maintained between 40%-50%. Apply thin liquid fertilizer once every half a month. However, the amount of water and fertilizer should not be too much. Watering should be done frequently and in small amounts to avoid root rot. |
