Cultivation methods and precautions of Nanteng

soil

Choose to plant on sandy or sandy loam soil, such soil will not have water accumulation or flooding. It is also required to have the ability to prevent the loss of water and fertilizer in the potting soil. It should be planted in soil with good permeability and drainage capacity.

illumination

Because Nan Teng naturally likes sunlight, it must be given sufficient light when cultivating it. Full-sun and half-sun conditions can help its growth well.

temperature

Keeping the temperature between 20℃ and 30℃ can allow it to grow well. However, if the temperature in winter is below zero, the leaves will fall off, and long-term low temperature may even cause its death. Therefore, especially in winter, you must pay attention to keeping warm to ensure that Nan Teng can survive the winter better.

prune

It is necessary to prune and trim the branches and leaves that are too long in time to ensure that the plants are plump and grow well. Sometimes it is also possible to carry out necessary traction and shaping of climbing plants. When old branches, dead branches, diseased and insect-infested branches, and branches that are too dense appear, they must be pruned away in time. After the Nan Teng blooms, in order to encourage it to bloom again, it is necessary to promptly prune the dead branches to reduce its nutrient consumption so that it can bloom again. When weeds appear, they should be removed promptly to ensure good air conditions in the soil.

Watering

Ensure adequate water throughout the growing process. But you also have to control the amount of water, not too much or too little. When the weather is hot in summer, you can sprinkle some water on the leaves to help lower the temperature. Excessive watering will cause too much water to accumulate until the plant withers, so you need to be careful about watering and control the amount of water.

Fertilization

It is important to pay attention to how to fertilize at each stage, because the fertilization methods are different at different stages. When new branches sprout, it is necessary to apply fertilizer to promote seedling growth. After one month, top dressing or a mixture of equal amounts of compound fertilizer and urea should be applied. Two months later, when the branches grow to 30 cm, top dressing and soil should be applied again.
