The difference in flower shape and color

Purple Root Orchid: Although the flowers emerge after the leaves, its flowers are more trumpet-shaped, and the petals at the front end of the flower are not obvious. The flowers also come in only one color, which is close to red.

Amaryllis: Its flowers come in many colors, and different plants will produce different colors. The petals at the front end of the flower are very obvious and pointed. Its stamens are also more concentrated, not as scattered as those of purple root orchid.

The difference in flowering period

Purple root orchid starts to bloom in winter, but sometimes it may bloom or wither later. The flowering time of Amaryllis is summer. Their flowering periods are far apart, which is also the most important point to distinguish them.

Difference in origin

The origin of Purple Root Orchid is not known, but it is now distributed in many areas of my country, most of which are concentrated in the southern regions; Amaryllis is native to Brazil and is now planted in most parts of my country. It is widely distributed, and Amaryllis is used more than Purple Root Orchid, and is more widely used in terms of willingness. Moreover, the plant with white flowers is extremely precious.
