Cultivation methods and precautions for primrose

Growth habit

First of all, it requires a cool temperature and hates high temperature. If the temperature is too high, the plant will grow very slowly. However, it won’t work if the temperature is too low, and there are certain temperature requirements during the winter. Next is light. It needs sunlight, but it cannot be too strong, and it cannot accept direct sunlight. Then there is water. The water demand during the period of vigorous growth is relatively high, but it is also afraid of waterlogging, so the amount of water should not be too much.

Specific methods

Temperature: For this plant, the most suitable temperature range for its growth is around 20 degrees Celsius during the day and 5 to 10 degrees Celsius at night. If it is winter, the temperature must be controlled above five degrees to ensure its safe wintering. In addition, if low temperature treatment is performed under sufficient growth conditions, flower bud differentiation can be promoted.

Light: If the light is not particularly strong, you can let it receive light for a while longer. Normally, we can place it where it can receive scattered light. However, if it is summer, then appropriate shade should be provided. In addition, it is best to avoid direct sunlight.

Watering: During the period of fast growth, you can water more appropriately. Generally speaking, it is enough to keep the soil in the pot moist and slightly dry. After entering winter, you can stop watering. Be careful not to allow water to accumulate.

Precautions

We have also mentioned above that this plant is afraid of waterlogging, so if it rains a lot in summer, we must be careful not to leave it outdoors. It is best to place it indoors where it will not be exposed to rain to avoid water accumulation in the soil.
