Does the fortune tree need to be repotted? How to repot it?

1. Do I need to change the pot?

The money tree is usually grown in a potted form at home, so the pot needs to be changed every one or two years. The money tree has been growing and getting bigger. If it is not repotted, the roots will gradually lengthen and it will be difficult to accommodate its growth in the original pot. The lack of space will limit the growth of the roots and affect its later development. The nutrients in the soil inside are gradually consumed and cannot be supplied for subsequent growth. Regular repotting provides space for growth and fresh soil to sustain growth.

2. How to change the pot

1. Take out the plant: Before repotting the money tree, take the plant out of the pot first. Stop watering for a few days and keep the soil in the pot dry. First, carefully knock on the sides of the flowerpot to separate the soil from the edge of the flowerpot, then tilt the flowerpot to the side to take the plant out. If it is a larger plant, several people can remove it together.

2. Proper pruning: After taking out the money tree, shake off the soil on the roots, check for rotten roots, and cut off any rotten roots.

3. Prepare potting soil: The prepared flowerpot should be larger than the previous one to ensure subsequent growth. The soil can be fertile, loose acidic soil mixed with a little fertilizer.

4. Fill the pot with soil: Fill some soil in the pot, straighten the plant and place it in the center of the pot, slowly fill the soil, press gently, water thoroughly and place it in a cool and ventilated place.
