Cultivation methods and precautions of lucky bamboo

Cultivation methods and precautions of lucky bamboo

1. Soil

Lucky bamboo likes to grow in soil with good drainage, rich in humus and high in nutrient content. You can mix garden soil and leaf mold in a 1:1 ratio and use it as its culture soil.

2. Water

Lucky bamboo likes a relatively humid environment. During its growing period in spring and autumn, we need to ensure that the soil in the pot is moist and not short of water. In summer, we should water it more and spray it with some water mist to increase the humidity. In winter, we should reduce the amount of watering.

3. Lighting

Lucky bamboo does not require much light. Usually you need to place it in a place with bright scattered light. In spring and autumn, you can let it see the light in the morning and evening. In summer, certain shade measures should be taken to prevent it from being sunburned.

4. Temperature

Lucky bamboo prefers relatively warm growing conditions, and the temperature should usually be kept between 20-28℃. In winter, prevent frost and keep the temperature above 3℃.

5. Notes

1. Prevent diseases and pests. If it is not cultivated properly, lucky bamboo is likely to be invaded by pests and diseases. In spring and summer when pests and diseases are prevalent, it is necessary to spray some low-concentration pesticides in advance for prevention.

2. Apply fertilizer in time. Lucky bamboo prefers fertilizer, especially nitrogen fertilizer. It needs to be applied every 20 days during the growth period, and the fertilizer must be diluted before application. Stop fertilizing after winter.
