Cultivation methods and precautions of white-handled rough-rib grass

Cultivation methods and precautions of white-handled rough-rib grass

1. Soil

It is best to use loose, breathable and well-drained soil for growing white-stalked rough-ribbed grass. This will allow its roots to develop better and the plant to grow healthier.

2. Watering

It likes a humid environment. March to August is its peak growth period, so you need to water it more often. When the temperature is high in summer, you also need to water it more often. When the weather is dry, spray water on the ground or around it to increase the humidity of the breeding environment. In winter, the temperature is lower, so you can reduce the amount of watering appropriately.

3. Lighting

White-stalked rough-ribbed grass prefers a semi-shady environment and should never be placed in a place with strong sunlight; also do not place it in a dark environment for a long time, otherwise the leaf color will fade.

4. Temperature

The suitable growth temperature for white-stalked rough-ribbed grass is 20-30℃, and the minimum temperature cannot be lower than 12℃. It will be frozen if the temperature is too low, especially in the cold winter. It is best to cultivate it indoors to avoid frost damage.

5. Notes

If white-stalked rough-ribbed grass grows in an environment with high humidity, it will easily develop leaf spot disease, which will harm the leaves. After discovery, the affected leaves should be cleaned up in time, and mancozeb should be used for prevention and control. Spray once a week, and the disease will disappear after about 3-4 times.
